Arlene was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Arlene was born on February 5th, 1924 in Brookeland, Texas. She was born as Maye Alrene Mattox to a family of 8 children, with Father Robert Lee Mattox and Mother Ettie McGraw.
On June 20th, 2021, Mae Arlene Nash passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 97 years old. Arlene was a caring Mother and Grandmother, she enjoyed painting, gardening and hosting Sunday gatherings for her loved ones.
Arlene was predeceased by her companion of over 30 years, Jesse L. Russell. She is survived by her beautiful family; her daughter Barbara, 4 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 14 great great-grandchildren. Arlene enjoyed being a grandmother and would often joke that as time passed she was getting “greater and greater.”
