Sis: Annie Ruth Hardeman Doyle was born August 7, 1937 to James Knox Hardeman II & Ora Lee Johnson Hardeman in Lockhart Texas. The family moved to the community of Union Hill four miles north of Luling, Texas, where the family own a farm. Annie Ruth and her family lived on the family farm for a few years during the 1940's. She attended the Union Hill United Methodist Church and School at Union Hill. She graduated from Rosenwald High School in Luling, Texas in 1958. Annie Ruth family have deep roots in Texas. Her great-grand parents Emanuel & Harriet Hardeman were born in Tennessee they were bought to Texas as Slaves in 1835, He purchase land in Caldwell County in 1869, that's still in the Hardeman Family.
Annie Ruth moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to help her brother William and his wife care for their infant daughter. She met her feature husband Milton C. Doyle, at a movie theater, he was a sailor station in Corpus Christi, Texas. They began dating and married two weeks later on January 20, 1959 they were married for 58 years. They moved to Eunice, LA and Annie Ruth join Greater True Life Baptist Church. She and her family return to Houston, Texas and joined Sun Light Baptist church in the 1970's. Fall Brook Baptist church under pastor Michael Pender was her last church. "Absent from the body present with the Lord" was a favorite expression of her. When she was unable to attend church she would listen to many different ministers on TV and You Tube.
Annie Ruth worked in the OR at Herman Hospital for twenty-nine years. After retirement she spent time caring for her husband Milton. She loved her Grand-daughter Brooklyn and her Great grandchildren. The importins of building lifelong memories with her grand-children was always her first priority. Her hobbies, cross word puzzles, decorating her home and QVC shopping. She enjoyed her son Brent taking her shopping and out to dinner. She visited Brent and his wife Janet at their home for holiday dinners. Brooklyn frequently took her to the spa to have her nails done. Annie Ruth sisters, enjoyed her Rice Stuffing and other French cuisine she bought from Eunice, Louisiana.

Hardeman & Nicholas E. Hardeman, Sister-in-law Betty J. Watson Hardeman. Gloria J. Carter Hardeman. Survived by her son Brent K. Doyle & daughter-in-law Janet Doyle, grand-daughter Brooklyn Doyle Carraway & husband Charles, great-grand-children Alijah & Chase. Sisters, Mary Lee Hardeman, Annie Lee Spradley & husband Otha Spradley Jr. Nieces Wondra Marshall, Angela R & Anthony Sykes, Beverly R. & William Little and Lillie J. Hardeman. Nephews, Vincent Spradley, Donald Hardeman, William Hardeman Jr. Great Nieces Arianna Spradley, Kaila, Davion & Mashie. GG- Nieces Darian A. Spradley. Great Nephews, Alonzo Spradley, Vincent Spradley Jr and Isaiah Spradley, Thompson Little, Anthony Sims and Reginald Sims Jr. Step grand-children Kamekia Ellis, Christopher Ellis and family.
A visitation for Annie will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
