Annie Mary Damon

Annie Mary (Kapalski) Damon went to be with her Lord on Friday, May 1, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 95. Ann was born December 2, 1919 in Anderson, Texas. On December 31, 1941 she married the love of her life Charlie Odell Damon. Together they had 60 years of marriage before Charlie passed away in January, 2001.

Ann is survived by daughters Joann and husband Ray Starr; Kay Damon; Frances and husband Chris Helms. Grandchildren Travis and Sharon Starr; Rhonda Sutherland; and Mike Sutherland. Great grandchildren Damon, Cole and Ava Starr and Kylie and Ty Sutherland. Sister Ginny Van Epp of Houston and sister-in-law Dolly Damon of Oahu, Hawaii along with several nieces and nephews.

Ann was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Ann's entire life was devoted to caring and looking after her family. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, movies and dancing to the big-band era of music and gathering with family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home and Cemetery; 6900 Lawndale Ave, Houston, Texas 77023 on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. On Wednesday, May 6, 2015, family will receive visitors from 9-10 a.m. with graveside services immediately following.
