Jo Ann Eubank, 81, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2012 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Joe W. and Annie M. Eubank. Ann was born in Houston, and as a child moved to a house far outside the city limits (near the present-day Galleria.) As Ann grew up, the city of Houston grew around her. This remained her residence throughout her life. Ann graduated from Lamar High School and the University of Houston. She was a long-time physical education teacher and counselor with HISD, working at Burbank Junior High and Revere Middle School. She also worked in the HCC system. She kept in touch with her friends from education through her long association with Alpha Delta Kappa (ADK.)
An avid sports fan, Ann was a longtime season ticket holder in the Astrodome. More recently she became a loyal fan of the Texas Rangers. She loved her Oilers and her Texans. She found relaxation traveling the country with friends in a motor home caravan. And she could catch fish. Ann was a loyal friend and a loving cousin and devoted Godmother. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
