Angie Christine Keye

Angie Christine Keye, age 73, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday, July 8, 2022. Angie was born in Manila, Philippines on June 1, 1949, to Pedro Dela Cruz and Martina Martin. Angie has a twin brother and is the youngest of 12 siblings. She excelled at everything she put her mind to. She did exceptional in school and received her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. After graduating college, she was able to land a job right away at Goodyear Tires, and subsequently at the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT), one of the biggest corporations in the Philippines, where she worked for several years before migrating to the United States. She lived in various cities of the United States and ultimately settled in Florida where she worked at the West Palm Beach City Office until her retirement in 2014. She was an avid bowler and collected trophies and medals from various competitions in the Philippines as well as in the United States.

Angie is the epitome of a modern career-oriented woman with a strong work ethic who lived her life to the fullest and travelled the world. Her beautiful smile and care-free demeanor would brighten any room. She loved to sing, dance and cook, often hosting gatherings and parties at her home. She was a compassionate and caring woman, always willing to help her relatives and friends who needed emotional or financial support. She showed that blessings and gifts that we received from God are not meant to be kept for ourselves, these blessings and gifts must be used to help others.

She is survived by her older brother in the Philippines, Jose M. Cruz Sr., her nieces Rose Dimalaluan in Houston, Jocelyn Labata in Canada and Jenny in the United Kingdom.

A memorial gathering for Angie will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068.
