THE SUN DID NOT SET ON THE LIFE OF ANGELA REGINA JOHNSON on January 7, 2023, but rather it shined and danced across the blue sky. The chapter of her earthly life came to a close and her heavenly life began. From the day of her birth on June 30, 1968, to Odessa and Eddie D. Johnson in Houston, Texas, Angela was destined to touch and forever alter the lives of everyone she came in contact with.
She was given to us to brighten up our lives. Angie loved to laugh and was as vibrant as the sun. She was always excited to be around family and was the highlight of the family functions. She was very compassionate and had empathy for others. She loved to sing and write music. When given a task she was dedicated to complete it . A loyal soul and full of life, she will be missed.
She attended Dunbar Elementary, Blackshear Elementary, Ryan Junior High, and Yates High School. she went on to become a servant to the public as she was a Housekeeper, Certified Security Officer and Food Service worker.
She was active member at Miracle House of Prayer Temple Church, Houston, Texas where Lois J. Coleman is Pastor and Lorenzo Coleman Sr., is Bishop. In her role as an usher, her smile and the way she served was most memorable. She became apart of First Missionary Baptist Church, Houston, Texas, Dr. Henry Price pastor, where her testimony and her smile was also most memorable. She was very spirited, but had a forgiving heart. She was dependable, loyal and all for family and friends. She expressed her love for God by serving others.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eddie D. Johnson; brothers, Charles Evan Johnson, Archie Shankle; uncle, Gertie Thompson; and aunts, Melvina Coleman, Bobbie J. Coleman.
She leaves behind her mother, Odessa Johnson; sister, Rotonia Harrell; life companion of 23 years, Christopher L. Slater; uncles, Lorenzo Coleman Sr., Donald Ray Coleman; aunt, Cynthia Dixon; eight nieces and nephews, Evan Johnson, Byron Harrell, Dalvin Harrell (Adriana Sanchez Harrell), Kennedy Harrell, Darion Harrell, Kobe Harrell, Joshua Harrell and Mattison Harrell; five great nieces and great nephews, Erin Johnson, Evan Johnson Jr., Reign Johnson and Micah Johnson, and a host of cousins and other family and friends.
