He was born in Centropolis, Kansas on May 24, 1931. Alvin graduated from Appanoose High School and received a Barber Degree from Barber College.
He was married to Bonnie Jean on May 18, 1962.
Alvin worked as a Barber, he served in the Air Force and he worked for the Postal Service as a mail carrier.
He had a passion for fishing in any kind of water.
He is survived by children Vince (wife Barbara), Donna (preceded in death by son-in-law Butch), and Alvin (wife Rhonda)
Grandchildren: Vince Jr., Mike, Chris (wife Heather), Jodia (wife Donna), Steven (wife Brittany), and Andrew
Great grandchildren: Richard, Chelsea, Lynzie, Tyler, Austin, Kyleigh, Ella, and Gabe
Sister: Rosemary.
He is preceded in death by sisters; Lois, Dolores, and Nancy
Also preceded by parents: father: Jodia Cole, and mother: Gladys Turner.
We would also like to give a special thanks to his caregiver Carly Westcott. He Loved his Carly.
A visitation for Alvin will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Friday, September 24, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
