Alton L. Anderson Jr.

Anderson Sr. in Lafayette LA. He was one of twelve children born to the farmer and homemaker, who were also foster parents. Alton attended Acadiana High School and graduated in 1976. He was an employee of Dow Chemical Plaquemine LA for 32 years when he retired.

Alton is survived by his wife Gynelda (LeBlanc) Anderson of Fresno, TX. His son, Alton (Sarah) Anderson III of Pearland TX. His daughter, Leanette Anderson of Fresno Tx and four grandsons; Payton, Earnest, Xander and August. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers; Aaron, Allen, Nelson and Rickey Anderson.

He leaves behind 5 sisters; Rochelle of Lafayette LA, Priscilla of Sulfur LA, Beverly (Lee) of Lafayette LA, Agatha (Percy) of Baton Rouge LA, Ruth (Marion) of Baton Rouge LA., Also 3 brothers, Eddie Sr of Houston TX, Hilman of Scott LA, Alvin (Doris) of Baton Rouge LA and 2 brothers his parents reared; Clifton and Alvin (Linda) of Lafayette LA. Brother in law, Eddie Jr (Kissha), sisters in law Diane (Harry), and Linda all of New Orleans LA, also Margaret (Joe) of Copperas Cove TX.

He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A gathering of friends and family for Alton will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo - Broadway, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A memorial service will occur Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087. A fellowship will occur Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, 4136 Broadway St., Houston, Texas 77087.
