She is survived by her sons, Jack Weldon Whitmore, Jr. and James Ronald Whitmore, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and her dear friend Sandy Lawrence.
Alta Lee was born on December 14th,1923 three miles northeast of Danevang, Tx. She married the love of her life, Jack Weldon Whitmore on December 24th, 1943. They were married for 42 years.
Alta Lee enjoyed gardening, traveling, dancing, playing dominos and bridge but most of all she enjoyed spending time at the family bay house in Port Alto.
Alta Lee and her husband Jack were founding members of Westbury United Methodist Church.
She worked as an executive secretary for Delta Engineering.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, act.alz.org.
