Aline Marie Segrato Mattalino, age 97, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, the 28th of November 2013. She was born on the 5th of March 1916, in Alta Loma, Texas to Joseph and Virginia Segrato.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ben Mattalino; her brothers, Tony, John and Louis Segrato; her sisters, Mary D'Anna and Fannie Jordano. Aline is survived by her daughters, Antoinette Dichiara and husband, Michael, and Joan Sciantarelli; her son, Angelo Mattalino, MD, and wife Lucinda; her 10 grandchildren, Joseph Dichiara, Donna Listi and husband Tony, Elaina Piggott and husband Jeff, Brian Sciantarelli and wife Karen, Lisa Henderson and husband Jason, Craig Sciantarelli and wife Candice, Ben Mattalino, Allyn Mattalino, Angelo Mattalino, Anton Mattalino; her step-grandchildren, Caitlin and Ryan Stone; her 16 great-grandchildren and her godson, Gerome D'Anna, Sr.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until 8 o'clock in the evening on Friday, the 6th of December, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where the Holy Rosary is to be recited by the Ladies of Sacred Heart and the Amiketos Club at seven o'clock with the Vigil Service of the Deceased to follow.
A Mass of Christian Burial is to be offered at noon on Saturday, the 7th of December, at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway in Houston, where the Very Rev. Norbert Maduzia, Jr., Pastor of St. Ignatius Loyola, is to serve as celebrant.
A private Rite of Committal is to follow the Mass of Christian Burial.
