I was saddened to hear about Allene's death. Allene and I shared many good times together as "first cousins" with only a month separating our ages. The most memorable were the many letters we shared during the four years that I was in service during WWII. They were very special to a young man, a long way from home. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family during this very sad time.

I was fortunate enough to be one of Mrs. Hamilton's students (Kindergarten, 1969-70) at Richmond Elementary and to have grown up in Robindell (my mom still lives in the neighborhood).  I have never forgotten her and the positive impact she had on my life.
