Coach Robert and I drafted a young ball player we knew would flourish and help our team succeed. Over time  He did, and we won and won and won. His good attitude and dedication brought him from the outfield to our infield, 
and ultimately he turned into a good closing pitcher for our team.  Albert, may you be a good closer for Gods team now.  Say "Hi" to Coach Robert for me.  Rest in peace.  EAST END RAYS forever!!!!

I still can’t believe your gone but, you were the most genuine person I met in my entire Air Force career and was pure hearted. From day one of basic training I saw how much of a good person you was. I think back when you would meet me at the gym every morning in tech school and we would push each other to be better each day. You always was competitive and loved talking about your family. One thing I knew was for sure you was going to go far in life. I going to miss you bro prayers and love sent to your family from Airmen Spells

i remember you as a person full of life, always positive and always accomplishing everything that you set your mind to, that’s what i liked about you. my favorite memory of you is when we would just stay in and talk for hours, we always had something to talk about and we both had a smile on our faces like we couldn’t stop smiling at each other or when you surprised me with the lights like the ones from the movie tangled. i felt so happy, thank you for everything that you did for me for pushing me to become a better person, and for those 3 years full of beautiful memories, it’s still so hard to believe that you’re gone but you’re in a better place now. i will never forget you 

 I remember visiting one time on leave and not wanting to go back but I knew I had to show that I was tough cause you were watching. I remember going to the car I was in and seeing you on your porch and thinking I’m not really sure when I’d be back. So, I asked your Aunt Jeanne if she had any cash as I only had like 10 bucks. I got out of the car and called you over. I handed you $20 bucks and whispered don’t tell your mom. I never really asked if you told her or not. But I was able to see that big awesome smile that you shared with everyone. I’d give anything to see that again. 

The last time we spoke over text, I told you how proud I was of you making such a big decision of joining the military. I was very excited when I heard your mom talking about you wanting to join. But you put your life on pause to serve your county. What pride I have to be your uncle. You will certainly be missed in a big way. I am proud of how you interacted with others and the stories they share. The words they share about you: having a big heart, being a good friend and keeping motivated in life ensures me that your mother is just as proud.

One of my favorite memoires is coming home late from working at Kroger and you would come right to the back room where I would stay, and we would be right on time for the new episode of family guy. This is about 17 years ago but I remember family guy being on late and you would always make it to my room to see if there was a new episode. If we could sneak in an episode of Futurama we would. Man, we would just laugh so hard watching family guy. At that time, Uncle Ralph was a bit cooler. Letting my little nephew watch family guy. What was I thinking? But I wouldn’t change anything. Those are great memories. I remember your funny giggle when we would both laugh. I remember one night your mom came in the room looking for you and we got busted watching family guy and it was a school night, it was like we both got a good talking to. 

Another good memory was during the same time we would say random disses to each other. Man was that so funny for both of us. We never used bad words and they were more silly than actual disses but man I miss hearing you calling me silly names. There was one really funny one that we both used that I still use when joking with my kids that I’ll keep in my memory bank for me. Man would you crack up when I would act like you had the ultimate “put down”.   I remember after I left and joined the Navy we had a conversation and we picked up on the silly disses like we never skipped a beat. It was great.

A memory that I constantly think of is from the last time I was with you, everything about that weekend was a movie, something you always used to describe a Great time, there is no word out there to express  how much of a amazing friend you where, never judged always kept an open mind and very welcoming to others. You were so full of life & always smiling. I’ll never forget all the fun and amazing times we got to spend together. A true & loyal friend. Hurts deeply that I’ll I have of you is memories. RIP Albear. I’ll always have a special place for you In my heart 😔

Albert was a ray of sunshine in a dark world. He was a pure soul and worked hard for what he wanted. He never did any of it without a smile on his face. No matter what he was going through, or trying to figure out in life, he could always light up a room with that bright infectious smile and light hearted personality. 

You will be greatly missed Albert. 

My big cousin Albert I miss you so much. You were always so positive about life and everything it had to offer there was never a dull moment while being around you. Growing up together left me with countless memories of us. From that time I stayed the night at your place and busted my butt in the hallway because we were running around the house. That other time I went to play baseball with you and your team at Easton park. All those endless hours, day after day we’d spend talking and playing video games together. Then recently one of the last times I saw you when I went to your house and we played basketball and I twisted my ankle. Despite our height differences you still managed to win lol. That was right before you left to the Air Force. We talked about how fast time was going and that we were all grown now starting a new chapter of our lives. You always strived to be great and do anything and everything you wanted and I admired you for that. There’s so many more memories I have of us together, I could go on and on, I’d do anything to go back and enjoy all of them with you again. It’s hard to say goodbye, so until we meet again. Rest In Peace Big cuz, I love you and will always remember you ❤️ 

It was the afternoon of August 5, 2021. Jen and I were waiting for the arrival of Jr as he was driving in from Nebraska. Jen was telling me, “he is 45 minutes away” and I am like “Yes!”. She was tracking him the whole way. Lol… finally the door opened and there he was with this big beautiful smile from ear to ear. Jen, the boys, dad, and I all welcomed him home. I gave him the biggest hug. I wish I could give him another hug but longer and tighter. Jr’s life was touched by every one. A heart of gold. A beautiful soul. Until we meet again my love...

Well what can I say that hasn't already been said. What I liked most about Albert that he wasn't one to judge or criticize, he loved everyone the same. That smile will be forever remembered. That  laugh forever heard.. Jennifer and Albert Sr. My heart hurts for you all.

Mijo it was God who brought you into my life and I am forever grateful he did! Our friendship started by God’s sense of humor. I thought you were your dad and I was asking about your Tio Pete who I had gone to elementary with. By the time we figured out I had the wrong Albert we were friends and I saw you as my own son or nephew. Again God had his own plans. In those plans I was blessed to have spent your last birthday with you. I’m glad we were able to spoil you like you deserved to be spoiled! It was the only time I got to spend with you in the time I new you. Mijo you have made such a difference in my life and have changed it for the better. I will never forget how you constantly prayed for me when I was fighting for my life with Covid. You were very encouraging and always sharing scripture with me. Losing you has been beyond painful and devastating. I will always carry you in my heart and love you! I will also do whatever I can to help your family get justice for you!!! Thank you for showing me what God’s love looks like. 

Albert was so full of laughs and giggles. I met him in Eastwood and he always made sure I was included in groups when I was feeling left out and always nice to me when anyone else wasn't the nicest. He always reminded me that he really cared about me even though we didn't talk or weren't close he always had my back and gave me a big hug. Words and hugs I will never forget. Thank you for the memories Albear. I will never forget you.

It’s  hard to wrap my mind on what happen to you no one deserves to be put in the situation that we all are left in  it should have never happen here in your hometown. this one hits so close to home I can’t get on Instagram or Facebook talk about it to anyone with out tearing up and realizing you gone. I grew up with you just a few years apart crying as I write this I wish u got to see my son. Our last conversation was about u getting ready to come visit and me going to give you my address to come visit me and my son but I know your looking over us as our angle now just want you to know I miss you and love you

Albert had the biggest heart ever. He once accidentally smashed my daughter Victoria’s fingers in the door way and he felt so bad he almost cried. I had to keep reassuring him it’s ok that she would be ok. He stayed by her side until she stopped crying. Most compassionate little guy I had knew for his age. He was about 11yrs old. I knew right there this kid is loving kind and had a big heart! I love you Jr. You will forever be missed! 

My handsome cousin, You we’re taken way too soon, Gonna miss you a bunch, The memory I’ll never forget was on your mom and dads wedding day Cynthia, Christina and I were the babysitter so they can enjoy their wedding night and well you just decided to have a tummy ache that day and who was the lucky ones to get pooped on US lol.. No words can ever take the pain away from your parents to heal their broken hearts and I can only imagine the pain Cindy, Tia Margie and Tio are going through. Albert,  I remember when your mom was pregnant with you I couldn't wait for her to have you I remember saying wow cousin both our kids will be able to grow up with each other, Now all we have are memories beautiful one's at that I'll always remember that Smile that lightheaded up a room your sweetness always happy you will be missed lil cousin. What’s not to say about baby Albert that has not already been said he was a kid with a bright future ahead of him, he was a kind soul and full of life, he was a great son to his mom my cousin Jenn, a great brother, and just overall great human being, I’m usually not a very emotional person tend to keep all of my emotion inside but this one hit different cause we all watched Albert grow up to playing baseball and to him fullfilling a goal to play high school football at Austin High School which I had the pleasure of watching him play and to him finally getting into Air Force.  Just want to let you know lil cuz you will be missed like crazy and to my cuz Jenn I love you my heart hurts for you and as a family we will be here for you, to my aunt Margie, uncle Chale, cousins Roy, Cyn, Carlos, josh I love y’all. well cuz as I say my goodbye for me it’s not about mourning you anymore it’s about celebrating your life and you will forever be engraved in my heart love ya cuz!!!!

Albert was always so nice to us and our kids. Wish we would have had more time. That day at his going away party he just lit up the entire party with this positive energy and this smile that could shine even the darkest of days. He was just so handsome and outgoing…so full of life. I loved that he was so sweet, well mannered and a man of God. He had a great head on his shoulders because of his parents. I just imagined our sons being great young men like Albert. Now he can see them in Heaven and teach them to be great like him. We need more young men in this world like Albert. We know he touched a lot of people and he will be missed. Jennifer, he was your first baby, your first son and your first love. He went through it all with you, good and bad. But now he will watch over you and his brothers from above. He is now your guardian angel. Rest in paradise sweet boy. 🤍



My cousin was one of the best role models. I remember we had a class together. It was psychology. I believe it was your first year in college and my second. I had no idea what I wanted to do or what I wanted my major to be. But you knew exactly what you wanted for your life and your career. You reassured me that it was okay and that I would find what I loved and be the best at it. One time after class you dragged me to the gym with you and man did you work my ass off. I showed up to class the next day barely walking and we just laughed. You were so smart, motivated, and full of positivity with the biggest smile on your face. Seeing everything you accomplished really motivated me to get myself together and push to be bigger and better. I hoped I could become just as successful as you. You were so full of life. You had so much going for yourself and I knew you were going to do big things. I wish we had more time together cousin. You will be in my heart forever, I love you.

I wish I would have hugged you longer and tighter the last time I saw you. When you left for basic training, I texted you to let you know that we love you and to stand firm in your faith for God. You went far beyond that, which is no surprise. I'm thankful that my babies have you to look up to as an example of what a man of God is, and to have been able to experience all that you are in the little time we had with you. I know you're rejoicing in Heaven, but don't forget to visit us from time to time. The cross you wore on earth is now the crown you wear in the kingdom, nephew! We love and miss you so much. Until we meet again.

My deepest condolences to the family of Albert Castillo. Albert was my student at Eastwood Academy. As so many here have said, he had a smile that lit the room, and he left people and places better than he found them. We were all blessed to know him. 

My first born nephew,
You’ve touched my life since the day you were born. You had the sweetest heart with genuine concern for others; always so thoughtful and bright. You made a difference in people’s lives and it’s not surprising that you are still making a difference. There was such an amazing glow around you, the way you could light up a room with that beautiful smile and infectious laugh. I’ll always remember you as a baby and I think it’s because your heart was still so innocent and pure. Your dreams and aspirations could never be limited because you understood that you could do all things through Christ and you’ve made us so proud. We will never be the same but I pray that we will be better to honor your name. I’ll make sure to remind your brothers and sisters that you loved them and wanted to be the best role model for them. I pray that my sister will feel your presence and that your presence can give her peace.  Rest in Heaven but don’t be a stranger. Visit us with a calm and quiet breeze. I love you and you’re always in my thoughts. I’ll be waiting for that breeze.

I remember your senior year, I didn’t miss a game. You would always find me in the stands before the game, give that huge smile and point at me. We would text after every game even from the bus after road games. “Did you see that play?”  We would go back and forth and you would always end with have a patty melt add jalapeños and a blue Powerade waiting for me please. In twenty two short years you became a better man than so many men strive to be. I will miss you more than you know and next time I go to Whataburger I’m having a patty melt with jalapeños and a blue Powerade.

Albert was an amazing, kind young man whose smile lite up my classroom. I remember how he would help his fellow classmates, always   share a kind words and never hesitated to ask me about my day. As an educator we strive to be a strong role model, inspire to dream big and Albert never stopped dreaming big. I remember when he shared his plan to serve in the military how proud he was and the great pride I had for him. I am forever grateful that he was part of Eastwood Academy and pray that his family finds comfort in all the amazing words- memories and thoughts that are shared. I will carry Albert in my thoughts and prayers along with his family. 🙏❤️🙏❤️

You were more than just my cousin you were like a brother to me . You always had that beautiful smile of yours not once did I ever see you mad . You could always feel that good energy of yours wherever you where . You texted me when you were planning on coming & told me you wanted to celebrate my birthday early since you were only going to be here till the 21st ): told you yes we could go out & didn’t get the chance too . Wish we could’ve celebrated our bday together one more time just like we did in 2014 . You took a piece of my heart with you but I know you’re in heaven happy looking over us . From the moment we first met 9 years ago in class you always had this energy that would make anyone happy. And I smile so big that it lights up the room. We have so many great memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Your hugs were so gentle yet so tight. Your love for family and friends and God was so beyond this world. I love you. I miss you. This is not a goodbye. But I’ll see you again ready with open arms. 

Thank you for the many memories we had on that flight line. From the pranks, to the teaching moments, to speaking about our goals. This job is tough, but you were always staying positive and making jokes. Anytime there was a job you would always say “Cip, I got you.” The picture below was one of those times. But the best part was when we launched jets together. It was a different story each time but one thing was for sure, we made sure those jets made their mission. 

Our son served with Albert and we had the privilege of meeting and preparing a meal for him. He often cooked for our Airman and I’d heard stories and seen pictures of his meals. We talked and he watched me cook, asking questions as I cooked. He was polite, helpful, and very sweet. As a fellow Wing Mom, I hugged him tight before he left and was so thankful for his friendship with our son. 
You are all in our prayers. May the Lord wrap His arms around you and carry you through this difficult time. 

My deepest sympathy to the Ortiz & Castillo family. May you find comfort in the wonderful memories of Baby Albert  you hold so close to your heart. May God embrace you all in all his glory & pull you through this tragic circumstance. I only remember him as baby Albert but looks like he grew up to be a  fine young Man.

First of I want to give my deepest condolences to the Ortiz and Castillo family.! My heart hurts with this lost and although I am not part of the Castillo family anymore I want you all to know that Junior was always a great big hearted young man. I remember he would be at our house every weekend when he visited his dad’s house. He use to love  coming over to play video games with my son Isaiah and His cousin Humberto.! Our place would be full of all the primos and I would always ask myself why does everybody always come here out of everyone’s house , and one day my mom told me, “ kids are Gods Angels and kids make a home and fill it with laughter and joy, so just appreciate and cherish those moments! And now I look back and think of those great memories when junior and all the cousins were in our home. Those are memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Junior you have impacted so many people with your lost.! My kids Isaiah, Abigail, Isabell and Zavier will miss you and will forever carry you in their hearts. Junior my chub chubs you will be missed by so many. Fly high my forever nephew we love you and thank you for the great memories!

I want to remember you just this way with your million dollar smile that lights up a whole room. You were a beautiful soul. You touched so many lives. You were so kind, loving and caring. We love you little cousin and the memory of you will live on FOREVER. You’re our HERO and will always be. I’ll always remember Jr. as the little boy sitting right between Cynthia and I, singing his heart out to the Family Guy theme song.  
My heart aches for his family… I pray God wraps his arms around his mama and loved ones and gives  them all the strength they need to overcome. May he rest in paradise.  

When I just moved over to Cage Elementary I met Albert maybe my second day of school. Long story short I accidentally gave him a quarter thinking he was another kid that I owed the quarter to. He took it happily and I later found he wasn’t the person that was supposed to have the quarter 😅. But after that he was always so sweet and would always make me laugh. He made my move to a new school so easy because he was so kind. 

You will always live on with me little cousin. I love you and miss you so much. I will miss the calls and text you would send me asking for advice and just checking up on me. #albearstrong #alwaysrememebered

I will always remember you as baby Albert. Smiling from ear to ear. This beaks my heart and make me so angry! If only I could say the things I wanted to say… Cousin Jenn I’m here for you as I always have maybe not right next to you but from a distance I’ll always be here for you.
