Ah-Yin Chee

Born on February 22, 1926 in Selama, Malaysia, she was preceded in death by her husband Fook On Chee, son Anthony (Ann-Ping), grandson Gerald (Gabriel and Cindy), and son-in-law Paul (Maria).

She is survived by three other sons Joseph (Valerie), James (Lisa), and Gabriel (Cindy) of Houston. Her daughters are Theresa Ng (Chin Wah) of Houston, Maria Belgrade of Chatham, Mary Chee, and Anne Chee both of Houston. Her grandchildren are Andrew, Lawrence(Victoria), Patricia (Tin) , Raymond, Alice, Tamara (Toby), Susan, David, Michael, Maryanne, Kimberly, Kristen, Eric, Evan, Clement, and Christopher. Her great-grandchildren are Nicholas, Gwendelyn, Elizabeth, Nathan, Brady, Geoffrey, Gregory, Anthony, Avery, Mabel and Florence.

As a young mother in Malaysia, she worked many jobs to help provide for her family. She was devoted to caring for her eight children. In 1976, she immigrated at the age of 50 to Houston.

Gardening, tai chi, sewing, and spending time with her large family were things she enjoyed. She was an excellent cook who spread love with her delicious food.

Married for sixty-three years to her true love, she was beloved by her family of eight children, sixteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.

She was a devout member of the Ascension Catholic Church, a member of the Hakka Association, and the Chinese Senior Citizen Association.

She will be remembered most for the love she showered on us, her beautiful smile, her sense of humor, her faith in God, and her kindness to everyone.

She will be forever loved and missed.
