Verna Mae Smith

Visitation will be observed from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p. m. on Friday, October 1, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road, Houma, LA, 70360. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing.) Burial will follow in the Bisland Cemetery. 

Memories of Verna will forever remain in the hearts of her: daughter, Regina Brumfield (Calvin); grandsons, Tyran, Waymon, and Jaron Smith; brother, Bennie Williams, Jr.; sisters, Rose Trosclair (Rev. Fred, Sr.), Hazel Hartman, and Martha Johnson (Charles); an uncle, John Williams, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Verna Mae was preceded in death by her: parents, Bennie, Sr. and Rosie Jackson Williams; brothers,  Thomas Williams, Sr. (Rosemary), and Leonard Williams,  Sr. (Clotheal); sister, Irma Harris; grandson, Brandon Smith; an uncle, Wesley Jackson and an aunt, Hazel Garrison.
