Samuel "Lil Sammy" Cross, Jr.

Samuel "Lil Sammy" Cross, Jr., 82, a resident of Jeanerette, LA and a native of Franklin (Oaklawn Area), LA, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 at Ochsner St. Mary in Morgan City, LA  at 11:50 AM.

Visitation will be observed on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Jones Funeral Home, Inc. 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA from 9:00 AM until funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Pastor Patrick T. Jones, will officiate the services. Burial will follow funeral services in the St. John Cemetery - Pecot Street in Franklin, LA.

Samuel Jr. leaves behind to cherish his memory: eight sons, Jerry (Sandra) Cross, Alfred "Choppa" (Karen) Favors, Ray Favors, Jerry Favors, Samuel Wayne Favors, Mark Cross, Sammy Cross all of Patterson, LA and Troy Singleton of Baldwin, LA; two daughters, Yvonne (Robert) Williams and Evelyn "Missy" Cross both of Patterson, LA; four brothers, Calvin (Delores) Cross, James Cross, and Ernest (Priscilla) Harrison all of Franklin, LA and Edgar (Patricia) Harrison of Houston, TX; three sisters, Glenda (Isaiah) Savage and Thelma (Marshall) Coleman both of Houston, TX and Joyce (Theopolis) Jones of Baldwin, LA; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Samuel Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Mary Taylor-Cross; two brothers, Howard Cross, Sr. and Earl Cross; two sisters, Irma Lee Cross and Mary Lee Cross; four sons, Terry Favors, Robert Lee Favors, Alvin Favors and Leonard Polidore and one grandson, Samuel Williams.
