Visitation will be observed on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 1:00 PM until funeral services at 2:30 PM at the McCoy and Harrison Funeral Home Chapel, 4918 Martin Luther King Blvd., Houston, Texas 77021. Lori will be laid to rest with her family on Monday June 10, 2019 at 12:30 PM in the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Jeanerette, LA.
Lori leaves to mourn the two joys of her life, her twin sons, Joshua and Jordan; her father, Lawrence Sylvester Aych (Cheryl); her sisters Edith Aych, Rachael Christine White, Valerie Nicole Perry; four aunts, Frances (Aples) Boyd, Willie Mae Bryant, Dianne Marie (Aych) Harris, and Janice (Aych) Bourgeois, four uncles Archie Lee Aples (Racquel), Samuel Westley Aples (Patricia), Leroy McNeal, Leroy Aych, Michael Aych, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her mother, Everee Evelyn Aych; maternal grandparents, Archie and Helen (Joe) Aples; her paternal grandparents, Willie and Alma (Davis) Aych, a nephew, Cardell Aych; two aunts, Roy Jean (Aples) Bernard, and Charlotte Aych, and two uncles Paul Henry Aples and Roland Bernard.
Lori was born to Lawrence Sylvester Aych and Everee Evelyn (Aples) Aych in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 9, 1970.
She attended William Frantz Elementary Public School and St. Mary of the Angels Catholic School. She then attended F.W. Gregory Middle School and F.T. Nicholls High School where she graduated with honors. Lori experienced college life at the University of New Orleans, (UNO), where she continued to be on the Dean's List and then graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education.
After graduation, she began her educator's journey and "What a ride!" Her teaching career lasted from 1995 to 2019 in Louisiana and Texas as follows:

· Kenneth Black Elementary, Aldine ISD, TX
· Thomas Gray Elementary, Aldine ISD, TX
· Cypresswood Elementary, Aldine ISD, TX
· Meyer Elementary, Spring ISD, TX
Using her God-given abilities, Lori had a vision for helping students to improve in the area of reading. This earned her "ESL Teacher of the Year" in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012, and other honors as a dedicated teacher to the district.
Lori's happiest times, besides teaching, were traveling and vacationing with her sons. She loved to visit New Orleans every year, especially during Mardi Gras. She enjoyed bringing back gifts and King Cake for her students and coworkers. She enjoyed traveling to see her sisters Rachel and Valerie, and her father and, Lawrence in Pensacola, FA. She enjoyed going to amusement parks, and traveling across America.
