Leroy Jackson, Jr

Leroy Jackson, Jr., age 73, a resident of Jeanerette, La., died Sunday, August 7th, 2011 at 8:20 PM at his residence. Visitation will be Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Moses Baptist Church, Jeanerette, La., from 10:00 AM until funeral at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in the Sorrell Community Cemetery. Leroy leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Myrtle Reed Jackson of Jeanerette, La; two sons, Kevin (Rachel) Jackson, Sr. of Oklahoma and Leroy (Luv) Jackson, III of Jeanerette, La; four daughters, Gracelyn (Daniel) Wesley, Sr. of Jeanerette, Paula Ann Jackson, Ursula (Alfred) Sam, Sr., and Kimberly (Carroll) Tillman, Sr. all of Sorrell; three brothers, Cleveland Jackson, Sr. of Four Corner, Ernest Jackson, Sr. of Port Arthur, TX and Melvin Jackson of Franklin; two sisters, Blanche Charles of Sorrell and Ida Swam of Port Arthur, TX; twenty-seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three godchildren, Katina Reed, Tremaine Cormier & Olivier Tallmore and a host of relatives and friend. Leroy was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Jackson, Sr. and his mother, Cora Jackson.
