A public viewing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at New Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, 263 Banks Street in Houma, LA. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Hartman, Jr.; sons, Troy, Sr. and Jamal Nixon, Sr.; daughters, Yanna and Faith Nixon; seven grandchildren; brothers, Dwayne and Travis Nixon, Brian and Richard Riley; sister, Debra Danapalan; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sterling Cox and Shirley Nixon Riley; maternal grandparents, Eula Mae Hite and Willard Nixon; and uncle Edward Darby, Sr.
