Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at the church. The funeral will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Dularge Community Baptist Church located at 524 Andrew St. with burial to follow in Halfway Cemetery.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph Ray Mitchell and Philippian Mitchell; daughter, Chanel Wright; mother, Mariah Conerly Simmons; brothers, Clifton Conerly, Marned Simmons (Jarnell); sisters, Linda and Anna Simmons, Robin Bonvillian, and Alisha Conerly; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, David Ray Mitchell; father, Emmitt Walter Simmons; brothers, Jessie, Jerry and Raymond Simmons; and one sister, Rose Simmons.
