Elaine Marie "MeMe" Smith, 73, a native of Orleans Parish and a resident of Houma, LA, passed away peacefully at 5:38 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
A public viewing will be conducted from 8:00 a.m. until funeral time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home chapel, 230 S. Hollywood Road in Houma, LA. Per CDC/local regulations everyone is required to wear face masks in building at all times. Burial will follow in Crescent Farm Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Vincent Lewis and Aaron Michael Smith; daughter, Shayna Smith-Williams (Pastor Ronnie); three grandchildren; sisters, Wilderette "Cookiee" Smith and Edwina Loretta Meyers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Williams and Juanita Jackson Smith; aunt, Eloise Jackson and nephew, Ronnell Smith.
