Rich was born in Paris, TX on November 10, 1946 to the late Margaret and Ed Anthoni. He was also predeceased by his step-father, Vaughn Pistole,; and his brother, Robert Anthoni.
A 1965 graduate of Warren High School, Rich was a proud Lumberjack. After graduating he attended the University of Monticello, was a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, and served in the Arkansas National Guard.
Rich moved to Pine Bluff after college to start a career with the Cotton Belt Railroad. He retired in the late 80’s. Rich loved to cook and never went by a recipe, but the food was always delicious.
In 1998 he moved to Hot Springs to commit his time to family while being a member of the Thompson Hunting Deer Club. An avid hunter, fisherman, and Razorback fan (who loved to call the Hogs), Rich loved to duck hunt with his son, Jason. He and Jason were able to float the Arkansas River one last time on Father’s Day.
Rich was the proud grandpa of Rhett and Jax. Traveling to Fayetteville to watch his grandsons play football and baseball was one of his greatest joys.
He was of Baptist Faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Dana Anthoni Boreing (Brad) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his son, Jason Anthoni of Little Rock, Arkansas; his grandsons Rhett and Jax; and a host of friends he considered family.
A Gathering of Friends and Family will be hosted by Gross Funeral Home Monday July 20, 2020 from 6pm-8pm.
