Peggy Joy Barton Meeker Warren 4/22/1927 - 2/4/2016 Peggy was born April 22, 1927, in Princeton, New Jersey, to Thomas C. and (Nannie) Louise (Stallings) Barton. She passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2016, at home at the age of 88. She married the love of her life and father to their children, Max Meeker, on Nov. 10, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1968. Ten years later, on Oct. 14, 1978, she married Ramon (Spud) Warren, her loving companion, an old high school boyfriend with whom she reconnected at a high school reunion. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 2007. Peggy and Max were parents of 9 children: Peggy, infant daughter Sandra Kay, (who both preceded her in death); Sue (Mike Caldwell); Mark Meeker (Tracy); Van Meeker (Carla); Voneta Meeker; MerryLee Meeker (Jimmy Robertson); Nancy (Brandon Jones); and Brink Meeker (Nancy). She was also the proud grandmother and is survived by 20 grandchildren - Richard Martin; Amy Martin McCarty (Jason); Tony Martin (Jennifer); Christopher Caldwell(Nancee); Ryan Caldwell (Sharla); Kara Caldwell; Wesley Meeker (Haley Crabb); Claire Jones; Madelyn Jones; Brandi Meeker Deaton (Donnie); Josh Donoho; Teah Donoho; Jennifer Huckabee; Jamie Huckabee; Kindsey Faulkner; Kayleigh Jones; Kevin Faulkner (Brittany); Heather Turner (Smokey); Nikki Bradley Bailey (Joe); and Cody Bradley (Cora). She also delighted in her 25 GreatGrandChildren: Parker and Macy Martin; Caoimhe McCarty; Caleb, Caden, Cali, and Peyton Caldwell; McKenna, Laney, Ashlyn Caldwell; Blaine and Naomi Deaton; McKenzie; Lenzie; Zephyr; Zen; Zion; Paisley; Reed; Drake; Temperance; Heaven, Logan, and Blakley. Preceding her in death was her grandson Tyler Meeker and great granddaughter Lauran Martin. She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Kohnke (Carl) of Colorado and brother Thomas Barton Jr. (Margaret) of Missouri; half sisters, Jan Buchanan of Colorado and Diane Estes of Florida, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Also, special friends: Linda Musil, Hattie Babb, Philip Trusty and Doug Wingfield, and granddogs YogiBear & Daffodil (Daffy). She was a graduate of Draughon's Business College in Paducah, KY. and was employed for many years by Libby Memorial Physical Medicine Center, Ouachita/AMI Hospital; and South Park Pharmacy in Hot Springs. She was a former member of Hazel St. and Richard St. Churches of Christ. Peggy enjoyed playing the piano and gardening, but was well known for the countless baby booties and afghans she crocheted until she was no longer able. She was our angel on earth and she devoted herself to caring for and accepting her ever growing family.
