Mary Alice Ashley

Mary Alice Ashley, age 78, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born in Russellville, Arkansas on July 1, 1941 to the late Roy Roach and Kate Blevins Roach. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.

Mary left behind a legacy of laughter and love. She lavished love on her kids and grandkids, spoiling them with cakes, cookies, and other sweet confections. She loved watching baking shows on Food Network, much to the delight of her family. She also spent time watching golf and bowling. Regardless of her busy schedule, she always made time to get her hair set every Wednesday.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of nearly 60 years, Delbert Ashley; two daughters, Michelle Johnson of Hot Springs, and Sandy Bennett of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; three granddaughters, Brooke Miller of Hot Springs, Chelsea Bennett of Melbourne, Florida, and Sydney Bennett of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Sheets and Lillian Miller; sister Betty Overton of Hot Springs, her faithful poodle companion, Mocha, as well as extended family, and a host of wonderful friends.
