He is survived by his wife Charlotte; one son David Earl Gill; three daughters, Dianne Bernier, Tracey Doyle and Jackie Rodriguez; four stepchildren, Leanne Dietzen, Chris Gaido, Charla Shores and Steven Reid; fourteen grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved sister-in-laws Joan Gill and Marilyn Morgan. He was preceded in death by his mother Emma Elzona Murray, his father Jefferson Lincoln Gill and his brother Jimmie Lewis Gill. He loved his Lord, his wife and family and his dog Bruno.
Fred was raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas and attended Hot Springs High School. He joined the Army and was in the 11th Airborne Division and spent two years in Germany. He later went to Houston, Texas where he was in the floor covering business for over thirty-five years. In 1998 he retired to his home town Hot Springs, Arkansas with his wife Charlotte, where he loved the land and visiting with old classmates and memories. Fred will be remembered by those he loved and who loved him in both Arkansas and Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Vaughn Oakley, Collins Oakley, Joe Schrodi, Steven Reid, Fernando Rodriguez. Mark Bernier, Chris Gaido and Christian Gaido. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Brooks and Dr. Harold Hill.
Our love and appreciation to all of the Hospice Home Care Group and the special services they provided for Fred during his final months.

The Memorial Service will be held at Gross Funeral Home on June 10, 2022 at 10:00 am with visitation preceding the service. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
