Bruce G. Ingram, 83, passed away at National Park Hospital on January 20, 2024 surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 26, 1940, in Non, Oklahoma, the son of Doyle and Allie (Philpot) Ingram.
Bruce graduated from Arkadelphia High School, Class of 1958. He attended Henderson State College on a basketball scholarship. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Cooper.
They celebrated 63 years of marriage in March. Bruce retired from Arkansas Power and Light and spent his time traveling and playing golf. He won Florida’s ECSSS Super Senior Player of the Year in 2008.
Bruce is predeceased by his parents; sister, Eva Taylor; brothers Paul and Norris; sister-in-law Marjorie (Cooper) Nowalk. Survivors include his wife, Betty(Cooper) Ingram; his daughter Allison Kayrouz (Jerry); step-grandson Garrett Kayrouz; niece Mary Erwin; and nephews Joe and John Ingram.
At Bruce's request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. To honor Bruce, the family asks that in place of flowers, you give to the homeless as he often did.
