Brandi Beth Richter Wooten, 47, was born in Little Rock, October 2, 1974, to Larry & Wendy Bradley Richter, and died in Rogers, Arkansas, February 11, 2022.
Brandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Manuel & Gladys Bradley, and Woody & Inez Richter; a special great-aunt & great-uncle Fred & Mutt McClard.
She is survived by her husband, Justen Wooten; her children, Taylor Jones (Joel Frye), Regan Jones and Donovan Stafford (Skylar); stepson, Tim Wooten (Bobbie); grandson, Wyatt Lee Frye; parents, Larry & Wendy Richter; and brother, Allan Richter (Tammy).
Brandi attended Lake Hamilton School through ninth grade, and graduated from Bismarck High in 1993. A talented athlete, she excelled at softball and track, and also played basketball. Coincidentally, when she was chosen as a Bismarck homecoming maid, it turned out she was escorted in that ceremony by her future husband, Justen. After high school, she attended Ouachita Baptist University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Known in the late 1990s as on-air radio personality “Brandi Taylor”, she found her calling in recent years to be in counseling. Brandi adored her children and was especially pleased to become a grandmother last year. She was a life member of the Garland County Historical Society. She endured a lengthy hospital stay, due to Covid-19, between Thanksgiving and Christmas in 2021.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday at Gross Funeral Home, 120 Wrights Street, Hot Springs, AR. A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Friday, February 18, 2022 at the historic Buckville Cemetery on the north shore of Lake Ouachita, officiated by Bro. Kirk Gassman.
