St. Pauls - Mr. William Hoyt "Bo" Walters, Jr. passed away with family by his side Tuesday April 24, 2018.
Mr. Walters or "Bo" as he was affectionately known was an avid NASCAR fan. Richard Petty was his favorite driver. He worked in the textile industry as a supply manager in Red Springs, NC. After this he worked at M & J gas company in Lumberton, NC. He loved the music and styling of Elvis. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. There are many things we will never forget about "Bo" one of which would be his trademark red socks.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melba Register Walters; son, William "Jeff" Walters; daughter, Terri Walters James; three grandchildren, Amanda "Mandy" Williams and her husband Allan, Rhiannon Gregurie, Nicholas Hoyt James; three great grandchildren, Jackson Hunter Williams, Aubree Leigh Williams and Colton Gregurie; a sister Patricia "Pat" Carter and her husband Harry; and two nephews, Mark and Matthew Walters.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Tolarsville Baptist Church, conducted by Reverends Jeff Broadwell and William Gentry. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in St. Pauls.
The family will receive friends at McNeill Mackie Funeral Home in St. Pauls on Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m.
