On the morning of January 2 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Evelyn Jacqueline (Jacky) Kerr Ferrell of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away after a lengthy illness. Jacky was born the eldest of seven in Marfrance, West Virginia on November 29, 1941 and grew up in Bellburn, a small coal mining town in the Alleghenies. For the whole of her life, she was a woman of uncommon generosity. She wed Thomas Justice Ferrell (deceased) at Fort Lewis, Washington on September 27, 1958, and is survived by three children—Thomas Justice Ferrell Jr., Michael Wayne Ferrell (both of Fayetteville), and Brenda Lee (Ferrell) Cox of Grenada, MS—six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her six siblings.
The funeral service will be at 2:00, Friday, January 3 at Reeves Funeral home in Hope Mills
Private burial will take place at a later date at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
