Curtis was born on February 11, 1943, in Fouke, Arkansas. He began his adult life by serving his country in the US Army, starting as an infantryman and eventually becoming a paratrooper. He joined the Special Forces and retired in 1980 after a distinguished career that earned him multiple military medals and honorable citations. Curtis was a true patriot who loved his country and was willing to put his life on the line to defend it.
After leaving the army, he found his way to Kelly Springfield, where he worked on the line making tires for 20 years for the Goodyear Corporation. He also built up an impressive real estate portfolio, demonstrating his talent for business and investment. Curtis was a family man who loved his children deeply. He had four children from his first marriage, and in 1975 he met Hui C, who became his beloved wife and the mother of his sons, Steven and Michael. While he was not a perfect man and had his flaws, he taught his children the value of hard work and setting high standards.
