Coohooling was a kind and loving man who worked hard to support his family. He retired from Overnight Trucking Company after 31 years. He was a no-nonsense man. He said what he meant and he meant what he said. In his spare time, you could always find him with a fishing pole in his hand.
Coohooling is preceded in death by his parents, James and Hattie Chavis Jacobs; his sons, Randy Lowery and Ronnie Jacobs; and his sister, Betty Hunt. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Jacobs; his sons, Lou Gary Lowery (Ruby) and Tony Jeffery Jacobs (Marsha); his stepchildren, Crystal Todd and Daryl Locklear; his brother, Herman Chavis (Alice); his sisters, Margaret Hunt, Magdalene Locklear, Coralena Chavis, and Carol Maynor; 19 grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
A visitation with family & friends for Coohooling will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cape Fear Baptist Church, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28312. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 100 Indian Drive, Fayetteville, NC. A burial church cemetery will occur Friday, October 4, 2024.
