Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Rasmussen and one brother, Darrell Packer.
Mrs. Morton leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael Morton; father, Martin Rasmussen; two daughters, Melinda Meeds and Kimberly Rivas; one son Donald Rea; four grandchildren; two sisters, Gayle Hentz and Marta Rasmussen; and one brother, Larry Packer.
The family received friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, April 1, 2013 at Reeves Funeral Home in Hope Mills.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Cumberland United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, officiated by Rev. Chang Kim and Rev. John W. Yount. Burial followed in Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
Mrs. Morton was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
