-Work History – She worked for the Hawaii Department of Education as an ESL teacher for McKinley High School, followed by Dole Intermediate ⁃ Grew up as a Quaker and occasionally attended the Honolulu Friends Meeting ⁃ Survived by her daughter Sharon Collins of Chicago, son David Goldsmith of New York, three grand-children (Ivorie, Tovah and Joshua) and five great grandchildren ⁃ Nancy is predeceased by her brother Lawrence and sister Molly ⁃ Nancy came to Hawaii in 1957 ⁃ Lived in Manoa for more than 40 years ⁃ Loved the valley and its community, befriended professors, neighbors, and even housed students. ⁃ Loved to take walks in the valley and in areas across Honolulu ⁃ She attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa to get her teaching credentials.
