Elizabeth Ilima Whitney, 87, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on July 15, 2016 at Straub Clinic and Hospital. She was born in Kailua Kona, Hawaii and was a Maintenance Supervisor for the University of Hawaii Manoa East West Center. Mrs. Whitney is survived by her partner Canuto "Joe" Peralta; daughters, Teresa Stempin, Mary Kumukau, Terry Calio, Bonny Bannister, Rose Whitney, Tammy Suzuki, and Christine Whitney; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on August 3, 2016 at Borthwick Mortuary - Maunakea Chapel. Visitation will be at 4:30pm and service will begin at 5:30pm.
