Bernard K.Y. Lum

Bernard K.Y. Lum, 92, of Honolulu, peacefully transitioned from this life to the next in late June, 2022, while briefly hospitalized after a fall. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and later retired as a pipefitter from Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

Survived by wife Edwina, children Vanessa (Grace), Kathryn (John), and Matthew (Shawna), 7 living grandchildren, 8 total, 1 great-grandchild, and an older sister.

Services for Bernard will be held on Tuesday July 26, 2022, at Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea/Vineyard Chapel; 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96817. Public viewing begins at 9:00 AM, with funeral services from 10:00 AM-12:30 PM. Burial will proceed at 1:00 PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery; 45-349 Kamehameha Hwy, Kaneohe, Hawaii 96744 (located inside the Hawai’i Memorial Park Cemetery).
