Alfreda Kaoionapuaonalani Kahalewai Kaimikaua, affectionately called “Kaoi”, of Makakilo, died. She was employed with Alulike as a Cultural Specialist.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Kaimikaua, a Kumu Hula of Halau Hula O’ Kukunaokala and a Hawaiian Studies Instructor at HPU. She is survived by hanai daughter, Kianna Spriggs Kahalewai; sisters, Mable Avilla and Melvamay Kahalewai; brothers, Alfred Kahalewai, Jr., Richard and Russell Kahalewai; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be held on Thursday, October 4, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Makakilo Stake Center at 6 pm. Graveside service will be held on Molokai on October 13 at Kanakaloloa Cemetery, Hoolehua, Molokai. Aloha Attire. No Flowers.
