He was born March 12, 1935 in New York City the son of the late William L. Sr. and Laura Truscott Squires.
William was a retired Technical Instructor with the United States Air Force serving for 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife Helga at home, daughter Lynda and her husband Robert Warner of Southlake, TX, 2 sisters Erna and her husband Steve Shenk of Orlando and Susan and her husband Steve Kovas of TN, 2 grandchildren Ana and Erica Warner.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday December 13, 2015 at 2 PM at the American Legion Post 155, 6585 Gulf to Lake Highway, Crystal River, Fl. 34429.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of Citrus County and the Nature Coast.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa.
