Victor C. Frankenberger, Jr., 82, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., Jan. 27, 2014 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness. A native of Rochester, NY, he was born Dec. 4, 1931 to Victor Sr. and Mildred (Hecth) Frankenberger, one of four children. Victor moved to Homosassa in 2003 from Hernando, FL and was also a longtime resident of Pinellas County. Vic's professional working life held many facets; he worked for Delco in Rochester; in Fla. worked as an automobile salesman, then also as a realtor with ERA American Realty in Inverness. He served his country as a U.S. Marine and fought in the Korean War. He very much loved fishing and camping. He was a parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa and a former parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness. Victor is survived by his wife of ten years, Frances M. Frankenberger, Homosassa; daughters Linda Atz (David), Charlotte, NC and Carol Lewis (John Colson) Hernando; sons Paul Frankenberger (Susan) of California and Steven Frankenberger (Patty), Lakeland, FL; sister Merle Storelli (Emil), Henrietta, NY and grandchildren David and Michael Atz; Michael and Kevin Lewis, Scott and Kristi Frankenberger (CA) and Allen and Emily Frankenberger (FL). Victor was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Joan Frankenberger in 2002, and two brothers, Richard and Raymond. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Thurs., Jan. 31, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa with Fr. Ronald Marecki, Celebrant.
