Maria Margarita Rosado

Maria Margarita Rosado, 85, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her home. A native of Utuado, Puerto Rico, she was born June 29, 1931 to Neftali Rosado Santiago and Margot Nieves Vidal, one of seven children. Maria moved here on June 30, 2015 from Homestead, Florida, where she had lived for 25 years. Before coming to Florida, she had lived in New Jersey for nearly 40 years and was the retired supervising housekeeper for the Medford Leas Retirement Community, Medford, New Jersey. A Roman Catholic by faith, Maria was a longtime parishioner of Christ Redeemer Catholic Church, Mount Holly, New Jersey. She is survived by her eight children: Armando Bermudez (wife Shirley), Homosassa, FL; Eudalia Bermudez (husband Jose Cabrera), Homosassa, FL; Miriam Bermudez-Diaz, Dacula, GA; Liduvina Velez (husband Carlos), Ocala, FL; Pedro Ivan Bermudez (wife Vickie), Lawrenceville, GA; Sonia Ortiz (husband Luis), Margate, FL; Jose M. Bermudez, Inverness, FL and Neftali Bermudez, Florida City, FL; siblings Blanca Rosado, Virginia Mattei and Esther Rosado Maldonado, all of New York and Miguel Rosado, Utuado, Puerto Rico; 26 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded in death by her siblings Anibel and Hiram Rosado. Friends will be received on Sunday, February 19, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, FL 34446. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. from St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa, Florida with Fr. Ronald Marecki, Celebrant.
