Linda J. "Joyce" Grolla

Linda Joyce Grolla, 73, of Crystal River, FL, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022. A native of Danville, VA, she was born Feb. 23, 1949 to Clarence and Hester (Lewis) Wiles, one of five children. Joyce, as she was known to everyone, moved to Citrus County in 1971 from Ft. Pierce, FL and was a longtime waitress, bartender and hostess at some of Citrus County’s most beloved restaurants, most notably the Riverside Yardarm and The Boathouse. Her perfect day would center around her love of coffee and watching television. Her two favorite channels were the Game Show Network and the Hallmark Channel. Joyce also enjoyed watching baseball on television. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Herring, and two brothers-in-law, Frank Bower and Richard Niven. She is survived by her daughter, Colleen Wiles (husband Robert) of Crystal River; grandchildren Devin, Austin, Toriana and Chloe Wiles, all of Crystal River; her siblings Peggy Bower of Homosassa, FL; Patricia Niven of Alabama and C.L. Wiles (wife Deborah) of Tampa, FL. and nieces and nephews Shannon, Ginny, Becky, Margarette, Steven, Roy, Tina, Chad, Tiffany and JR.
