SFC John F. Winczuk, U.S. Army (RET), 80, of Beverly Hills, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at his home. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John was born March 23, 1942 to John and Isabelle (Williams) Winczuk. John joined the U.S. Army when he was 20 years old. He was assigned to " LERPS " (Long Range Reconnaissance) during his first tour in Vietnam and drove trucks with fuel during his second tour. He retired from the military 24 years later as an E-7, Sergeant First Class. John met his first wife Edna in Philadelphia, where they raised their four children Annamaria, Johnny, Kevin and Sherrylin. He then decided to teach truck driving at All State Career School where he became known as "Sarge". He moved to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida where he met his 2nd wife Kim in the early 90's and then Citrus County a decade later where he resided with his 3rd wife Tina until her passing March 8, 2022. Mr. Winczuk loved driving, especially his motorcycle. When he wasn't behind the wheel of a big rig or riding his motorcycle, he would create model train platforms. Other hobbies included walking on his hands, roller skating, drawing, singing karaoke and goofing off whenever possible. John was preceded in death by his three wives, Edna, Kim, Tina and son Kevin Winczuk and step-son Andrew Mesker. He is survived by his children and step-children Annamaria, Johnny, Sherrylin, Anthony, Jeannie, Aaron and Tony; 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
