Mrs. Janet Irene Barfield, 90, of Woodstock, GA formally of Crystal River, FL passed away June 6, 2017. She was born on May 16, 1927 in Alabama City, AL. Janet lived in several cities with her family (including Germany) before settling in Crystal River. Janet was lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW post 2681 Marietta, GA. She enjoyed crocheting and playing bingo. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Janet was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Barfield, shortly after their 50th wedding anniversary, son, James L. Barfield and son-in-law, LeRoy R. Clark. She leaves behind her daughter, Jenny S. Clark, grandchildren, Michelle L. Blount (Greg), Jamie R. Young and Christopher L. Barfield, great-grandchildren, Courtney, Joshua, Tyler, Alexis, Emily and Christopher and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 11:30am at Fountains Memorial Park, 5635 W. Green Acres St, Homosassa, FL. Wilder Funeral Home, 352-628-3344, is entrusted with the care of Mrs. Barfield.
