Jamie Susan (Santosuosso) Bannon, 66, of Homosassa, FL, passed away peacefully, on August 24th, after an arduous battle with cancer. Jamie was born on June 3rd, 1955 to James A. and Josephine Santosuosso in Stoneham, MA.
She grew up in Malden, MA with her loving parents and four younger sisters. She attended Malden High and shortly after school she met the love of her life, Mike. After getting married, they moved to Tewksbury, MA where they raised their two sons. Jamie was passionately involved in her sons’ lives and youth sports, becoming a youth soccer coach. She worked as a financial coordinator at Dean Witter, as a banker, a notary, and as a licensed insurance agent, making many friends along the way.
Jamie had a passion for reading, cooking for family, and collecting Annalee dolls. She was known for her love of football, Christmas, Independence Day, and family traditions. She loved nature, especially the waterfalls of the Kancamagus, in the White Mountains, and the beaches of Newport, RI.
She loved being a Nonna and spending quality time with her grand-daughter, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She will forever be remembered for her beautiful, bright smile and boisterous, distinctive laugh.
Preceded in death by her father James of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Malden, MA. Survived by her loving husband Michael, of nearly 47 years; her mother Josephine of New Port Richey, FL; her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nancy Bannon, of Randolph, MA; her son and partner James Bannon and Kristyna Aravena, of Somerville, MA; her grand-daughter Aryanna Bannon; her sister Gail DeSantis of Holiday, FL; her sister and brother-in-law Nancy and David Fielding of Andover, MA; her sister Debbie Stempien of Methuen, MA, and her sister Amy Santosuosso of Holiday, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
