James Thomas Hromnak

James Thomas "Jim" Hromnak, age 87, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. A native of Bayonne, NJ, he was born March 26, 1935 to George and Cathryn (Powasnik) Hromnak, one of two children. Jim, as he was known to many, was a retired project manager for the U.S. Army, serving in the Department of Defense. He moved to The Villages two and a half years ago from Homosassa, FL, where he had lived for 28 years in the Sugarmill Woods community. Jim was a faithful and devoted parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa, and in addition to his parents, Mr. Hromnak was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Hromnak, in 2005. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Joan C. Hromnak of The Villages, FL; sons James Hromnak of Homosassa and Mark Hromnak (wife Liska) of Imperial, MO; granddaughters Liska Dawn and Shawna Elise Hromnak, also of Imperial, MO and brother George Hromnak of Homosassa, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., March 22, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa, FL, with Fr. J. Glenn Diaz, Celebrant. Interment private.
