Bailey Roger Goode, 81, of Newberry, FL and formerly a longtime Crystal River, FL resident, passed away on April 14, 2012 at his home. An Alachua County native, he was born Feb. 18, 1931 to Roger Bailey and Victoria (Douglas) Goode, one of 15 children, and moved to Crystal River in 1972, where he founded Fat Boys Restaurant, which is still owned by the Goode family. Mr. Goode was a member of Gulf To Lake Church and American Legion Post #155, both of Crystal River, and served his country as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War era. Roger, as he was widely known, is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years, Jean M. Goode; his five children Toby Rooks, Suzanne Wakeen, Belinda Arney, Tracy Keller and Andy Keller; siblings Faye Davis, Monroe Goode, Mary Carlisle, Ann Suggs, Bobbie Goode, Louise Hunt, Jean Smith, his twin sister Betty Parker and Doretta Jones; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goode was preceded in death by five siblings; Cecil, Mina, Jo, Dalton and Della.
