Virginia Mae Jeter Thompson, age 83, of Homewood passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024. She was born on July 29, 1940 to the late James W. Jeter and Virginia Banks Jeter. Virginia retired from the Homewood Public Library.
Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Charles Billy "Bill" Thompson, her daughters: Paula Thompson Winslett and Daphne Leigh Thompson, her grandchildren: Collin Michael Bath (Christi), Shannon Lorraine Mills and Savannah Winslett McCrary (Wesley): her great grandchildren: Virginia Grace Mills, Jayden Collin Bath, Hannah Ann Marie Greene, Caylin Nicole Bath, Nathan Wiley Winslett, Maddox Wesley McCrary; her sister: Dorthy Jeter Timmons and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceeded in death by parents, her son: Lloyd Daryl Thompson, her brother; James W. Jeter, Jr.; sister: Alice Jeter Kieran and her son in law: Charles W. Winslett, II.
The family will be having a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
