Tommy McClenny was born October 13, 1950 to the late Bill and Frances McClenny. His brother Sammy preceded him in death. He is survived by his caregivers Andre and Dunklin and family. The Dunklin family provided for and loved Tommy for 20 years. He affectionately referred to the Dunkin's as his Viders. No need to spend a lot of time calling them his providers they were his Viders according to Tommy. Tommy attended church at Glen Iris Baptist and school at The Exceptional Foundation where he was loved and appreciated. Tommy's surviving cousins want to thank the Dunkin family for all they have done. They also want to thank Volunteers of America for their fine oversight of his care.
Tommy loved football, baseball, hamburgers, and coke. He especially loved University of Alabama football.
He loved to travel and he loved animals. He loved singing and music. He would tell you he was from Birmingham, the greatest city in Alabama. He was always happy and ready to smile. He was a near perfect as a human could possible be. He will be missed by all who knew him. We look forward to seeing him when Almighty God and his son Jesus resurrects him with perfect mind and body. May we all be there to greet him.
