She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary George Traywick Holt and James Thomas Holt and brother, James Thomas Holt, Jr.
She is survived by her children John Daniel Carney III, Kathryn Carney Lovelady, Andrew Holt Carney, Mary Carney Donald and her brother John Archer Holt. She was proudest of her eight grandchildren: Mary Kathryn Carney, Caroline Carney Donald, James Thomas Holt Lovelady, Elizabeth Harris Forsyth Donald, Joseph Marion Donald IV, Anne Traywick Lovelady, Andrew Holt Carney, Jr., and Virginia Frances Carney.
She attended Sacred Heart Academy in Cullman, John Carroll Catholic High School and graduated from Auburn University. She was an active member of Saint Frances Xavier Catholic Church where visitation was held on Thursday July 2nd, from 5 o’clock p.m. to 7 o’clock p.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 10 o’clock a.m. on Friday July 3rd.
