Robert Burns Macke, Jr., age 65, born to Robert B. Macke, Sr. and Pauline Sanguinetti Macke, on May 1, 1945, died on May 13, 2010, after a brief illness.
A life long resident of Homewood, Mr. Macke was retired from the Jefferson County Board of Registrars.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Sheila F. Macke; son, Robert B. Macke, III (Lori) and daughter, Allison Sisk (Brandon); precious grandchildren, Jacob Burns Macke and Sophia Addison Sisk; sister Sylvia White (Haden) and Mira Villanacci ( Lou); as well as many extended family members and very special friends. Visitation will be at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 5:30 to 7:00 with rosary at 7:00. Funeral mass will be on Saturday , May 15, 2010 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church commencing at 2:00.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to UAB Palliative Care. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, AL.
