Mary Evelyn Patton

Mary Evelyn Patton was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 28,1928. She was predeceased by her parents, Howard and Mildred Patton, and her husband of 63 years, Donald Patton. She is survived by both her brother, David Patton (Betty) and her sister, Nelda Barksdale (Charles, deceased). She is also survived by her four children: Barry Patton, Derek Patton (Pam), Brant Patton (Lori) and Donna Patton Harris. She has eight grandchildren: Allyson Harness (Joe), Allen Harris (Ashley), Jordan Harris, Marisa Patton, Courtney Patton, Braxton Patton and Brittany Peyton. She had one great grandchild, Jackson Peyton.

Mary was a Birmingham Music Club Scholarship Recipient, Miss Alabama runner up, and a Graduate of the University of Montevallo. She wrote, recorded and sang many Christian worship songs. She spent her life worshiping the Lord and impacting others. She loved much...

Services to Celebrate her life will be held on September 23, 2017 at Ridout's Valley Chapel, 1800 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, Alabama 35209. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, the Service at 2:00 pm, brief graveside service at Forest Hill.
