She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura F. and John J. Enright; sister, Mary Catherine King; husband, Hubert A. Taylor, and one grandson, John Grant Taylor, Jr.
Marguerite was raised in Springfield, Ohio. She moved south to take a job as a nurse at Hillman Hospital and was eventually asked to join the staff that helped to open the operating room at Eye Foundation Hospital. She was a long time member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church where she gave generously with her time and talents.
Marge is survived by three children: John Grant Taylor (Barbara) Valley, AL; Monica Taylor Wesson (Jim) Cullman, AL; Cindy Taylor Zofsak (Greg) Prattville, AL
Five grandchildren: Shauna Wesson, Taylor Wesson (Rachel), Tabitha Taylor LeMay, Alan Zofsak, John David Taylor (Deena). Three great grandchildren: Wyatt, Haddie Mac, Hayden. Nephews: The Reverends John E. King, Fayetteville, AR, and William M. King, Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the amazing care that our mom received from the staff at St. Martin's in the Pines where she lived the last part of her life, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: St. Martin’s in the Pines Friends Fund, 4941 Montevallo Road, Birmingham, AL 35210; St. Paul’s Cathedral, 2120 3rd Avenue N., Birmingham, AL 35203, or your favorite charity. Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM in the chapel of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and a celebration of her life will follow at 1:30 PM with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
